CoroMill 345 uses an advanced tool concept to support high-volume, dedicated machining and is ideal for small batch, hybrid machining. The high-performance face milling process, which is mainly used for steel and stainless steel machining with smaller depth of cut, CoroMill 345 is versatile and optimized, so it is also suitable for demanding roughing operations and mirror finishing with wiper blades.
CoroMill 345 further enhances metal removal by using additional pitch options (HX) to allow more cutting teeth to participate in the cutting.
As a new generation, proven 45 degree face milling cutter, the CoroMill 345 is equipped with double-sided inserts with 4 cutting edges on each side. An important support island that is coupled to the rake face of the insert to maximize the support of the cutting edge and provide maximum stability to the insert seat.
With a small depth of cut, a larger positive axial inclination creates a soft cutting action so that the cutting forces on the workpiece create a low axial pressure. As the depth of cut becomes larger, the vertical portion of the cutting edge begins to participate in the cutting, thus providing a more robust structure for the insert, ensuring cutting safety, especially when performing difficult cutting.
The CoroMill 345 is available for a wide range of different types of machine tools, from low-power small machines to high-power large machines, from ISO 30, 40 and 50 machining centers to multi-tasking machines. Suitable milling cutters are 40 - 250 mm in diameter.
A major step forward in milling technology takes the performance of the CoroMill 345 to a new level, and the low noise during machining is the best testimony.
CoroMill® 360 – the future of heavy duty cutting
Sandvik Coromant's new 60 degree face milling cutter CoroMill 360 combines the high safety and cost-effectiveness of heavy industry.
The robust body treated with hardened steel provides the strength required for the most demanding processes, and the wedge clamping inserts placed in the interchangeable toolbox system maximize cutting performance. The precise positioning of the knife box on the body ensures precise cutting performance, and the blade can be easily removed by simply unscrewing the wedge screw, greatly reducing tool change time and greatly increasing flexibility.
The 4-blade inserts offer light cutting performance in both 19 mm and 28 mm versions, and both models use the same body to minimize tool inventory. They achieve a depth of cut of up to 18 mm at very high feed per-feed conditions, guaranteeing high productivity. The wide parallel blade design guarantees excellent surface quality, which is unique in heavy duty milling cutters.
CoroMill 360 has a diameter range of 160 - 500 mm, with a dense and ultra-tight pitch design, with a mandrel and CIS mandrel shank type. The blade has high performance and is made of steel, stainless steel, cast iron and heat resistant alloy. A new generation of blade material.
GC1115 high versatility for high quality heat resistant alloys and stainless steel processing
Sandvik Coromant has released the latest high performance sharp cutting edge material GC1115. This material provides safe and reliable performance in all applications from aerospace to mechanical engineering.
The good balance between toughness and wear resistance makes GC1115 an efficient choice for unstable conditions, especially in predictable production with very few downtimes. It is versatile and can perform all the cutting operations on the entire part. The unique PVD coating maintains a sharp cutting edge for longer cutting times, which increases the effective cutting time, while the optimized micro-groove ensures High part accuracy at low cutting forces.
This new material can be used for finishing to semi-finishing of stainless steel, semi-finishing to roughing of heat-resistant high-quality alloys and titanium alloys. It offers a wide selection of positive rake angle and negative rake angle inserts with a choice of -M, -G and -E tolerance ranges for different blade cutting edge sharpness and CoroCut for improved accessibility in aerospace applications ? Angled blades.
GC1115 is part of the PVD product chain within Sandvik Coromant's 'green-light production'. This is a blade material set with improved wear resistance for tighter tolerances and greater safety. Together with the GC1125 and GC1105, lower cost, true, undisturbed cutting performance is achieved.
Coromant Capto® interface optimized for demanding processes on large machine tools
Sandvik Coromant is now introducing the largest version of the Coromant Capto® standard interface.
The Coromant Capto® interface model C10 is designed to improve the machining performance of large machine tools when performing demanding processes. It allows for higher feed rates and greater depth of cut, especially in machining for aerospace applications. When used in the aerospace, gas turbine and railway runner industries.
