Aluminum Exports in Kazakhstan Increased by 6.3% in the First Three Months

Comprehensive media reported on May 17 that Kazakhstan’s National Statistical Office’s report released on Monday showed that the country exported 45,500 tons of aluminum in the first three months of this year, an increase of 6.3% over the same period last year.

The total value of aluminum exports was US$101.8 million, a significant increase of 23.9% year-on-year.

The statistics office also stated that zinc exports totalled 59,600 tons during the January-March period, a decrease of 11.9% from the same period last year. Total export value of zinc was 134.3 million U.S. dollars, a 13.6% decrease from the same period last year.

During this period, copper exports totaled 66,300 tons, a decrease of 6.6% from the same period last year. The total value of copper exports was US$ 57.94 billion, an increase of 26.7% over the same period of last year.

During the January-March period, the lead exports reached 28,200 tons, more than twice the amount of the same period of last year. The value of lead exports totaled 71.2 million U.S. dollars, a significant year-on-year increase of 127.8%.
