Israeli start-up company StoreDot, known for making fast-charged batteries, announced the launch of the EV model in 2015. Recently, the company said that its electric car battery can be fully charged in 5 minutes, and can support the car driving 300 miles.

StoreDot introduced the technology at the Berlin Global Startup Show, which is "a drastic improvement in the structure of traditional lithium-ion batteries." It is reported that FlashBattery (flicker charging) battery incorporates multi-layered nanomaterials and organic compounds, which will greatly reduce the time required for charging. In the video introducing the technology, it can be seen that the cars running on the StoreDot module will be equipped with 40 "pockets" each containing FlashBattery technology, which is converted from short amino acids called peptides. "Nano dots" consist of "nano dots" arranged in a layered structure. These pouches combine to form a charging module.

StoreDot claims that this technology breaks the limitations of traditional graphite lithium-ion batteries and is safer than lithium batteries because it is not flammable and has a higher burning temperature. The technology is now in the advanced stage of R&D and will be officially released within three years, completely changing the charging mode of electric vehicles.

Dr. Doron Myersdorf, co-founder of StoreDot, said: "Fast charging is the key to accelerating the popularity of electric vehicles. Currently available battery technology requires a longer charging time, which makes electric vehicles can not meet the needs of the public well. We are working with Several strategic partners in the automotive field are explored to help us speed up production processes in Asia and achieve mass production as quickly as possible."
