Despite the development difficulties of biomass energy, the development of biomass energy is an important part of clean development and changing the energy structure. The government needs to look beyond the longer-term. In the current weak environment, the energy needs to be advanced. layout.

As an important renewable energy source, biomass energy is widely distributed and can be used to generate electricity and convert it into liquid solid fuel for a variety of purposes. China has a vast territory and relatively rich biomass resources, including agricultural and forestry waste, urban domestic waste, animal waste, and energy crops. Unlike other renewable energy sources such as wind power, solar energy, and geothermal heat, biomass feedstock can be converted to liquid or solid fuels as needed. In recent years, with the increase in support for renewable energy, biomass energy has also been developed accordingly. Biomass power generation mainly includes agricultural and forestry waste power generation and waste-to-energy generation. In addition to biomass power generation, other forms of utilization are also common. For example, biogas is the main way to use biomass energy in rural areas.

Among the main renewable energy sources, biomass energy started relatively early, and it also developed relatively fast in the early stage, but the development speed is relatively slow, which is in stark contrast with the rapid development of wind power photovoltaic in recent years. For example, the installed capacity of grid-connected wind power has increased from 1.06 million kilowatts in 2005 to 96.37 million kilowatts in 2014, and solar grid-connected power generation has also increased from 70,000 kilowatts to 28.05 million kilowatts. The installed capacity of biomass power generation has reached 2 million kilowatts in 2005, and only increased to 9.48 million kilowatts in 2014.

The construction of supporting facilities and imperfect supporting measures are one of the reasons for the slow development of biomass. However, other renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics and wind power have similar problems. Therefore, the slow development of biomass energy has other factors that restrict its rapid development. Among them, the characteristics of biomass energy itself is another important factor. The development of biomass energy is not just an industry problem. Whether it is the collection of raw materials such as agricultural and forestry waste or municipal waste, it is related to production and living activities, that is, the development of biomass energy involves changing production and lifestyle. Biomass energy development will be greatly limited if sufficient supply of raw materials cannot be guaranteed.

Agroforestry biomass power generation is a major utilization of biomass energy. The main raw materials are crop straw and forestry waste. Due to the large volume of such materials, high transportation costs, and inconvenient collection, more labor input is required. Different from the large-scale agricultural production in some countries, the scale of agricultural production in China is low, the crop waste is relatively scattered, and the collection is relatively difficult, time-consuming and labor-intensive. Although rural labor is abundant in China's rural areas, migrant workers often use the most direct incineration or disposal to dispose of crop straw as soon as possible. In addition, there are many types of raw materials for agricultural and forestry waste, which require high requirements for power plant equipment and are likely to cause damage.

Waste-to-energy generation also faces similar problems. Although the total amount of municipal waste is large, the implementation of waste sorting is not good, resulting in low calorific value of waste and increased damage to machinery and equipment. The recycling rate of municipal waste is low, and many wastes with valuable value are directly incinerated, causing serious waste. Some hazardous and special wastes are not separately classified, resulting in a complex composition of waste-to-energy raw materials.

Due to the relatively mature waste sorting system in developed countries, the design of waste incineration equipment does not take into account the characteristics of China's waste raw materials. Therefore, the equipment imported from abroad is not suitable for China's specific conditions, and may cause excessive emission of toxic gases. For safety reasons, the public is often resistant to waste-to-energy. Biomass liquid fuel also has the problem of insufficient supply of raw materials. Due to the large population, food security has always been a problem faced by China. Unlike countries such as the United States and Brazil, China does not have the large-scale development of biofuels with food as the main raw material. Biomass fuel conversion technology based on lignocellulose and algae is still in the development stage, the technology is immature and the cost is relatively high.

The government strictly controls the production and sale of fuel ethanol. The main problem for the production of biodiesel is the lack of relevant policies, standards and normal sales channels. Recently, with the continuous decline of global oil prices, the development of biofuels has become more difficult. Biofuels represented by ethanol and biodiesel are used as alternative fuels for transportation.

In addition, the current state lacks consideration of the differences in the development of biomass, and the situation varies widely from place to place. The specific resource endowment conditions in different regions are different, and the same development model may not be in line with local conditions. Since the development of biomass energy requires coordination and cooperation in all aspects, as well as changes in people's production methods, the short-term effects are not obvious, and the enthusiasm of local development is insufficient.

Despite the difficulties in the development of biomass, the development of biomass is an important part of clean development and changing the energy structure. The government needs to look beyond the future. In the current weak energy environment, it also needs In advance layout, the policy is more targeted and more effective.

Accelerating the development of biomass energy requires not only the improvement and improvement of relevant laws and regulations, but also rational planning and layout, avoiding duplication and excessive construction, and ensuring the supply of raw materials. Urban waste should increase the proportion of reuse, save raw materials, and make use of waste. It is also necessary to accelerate the implementation of waste sorting. The planning of waste-to-energy generation is considered separately according to the specific conditions of each place.

In terms of R&D investment, increase support for local scientific research investment, so that each region can adapt to local conditions and develop biomass utilization methods suitable for local conditions. In the future, it is necessary to accelerate the development of energy plant cultivation, increase investment in marginal land, reduce the use of arable land resources, and avoid the phenomenon of land disputes with grain. In addition, we must accelerate the research and development of non-grain biomass liquid fuel conversion, reduce costs and improve its competitiveness.
