Adjustment of Passive Infrared Detector PA-5312E for Takenaka Automatic Garage in Japan
PA-5312E Passive infrared detector for automatic garage. As soon as this model came out, it was widely used in various garages in Japan. It is used to determine whether there is a person in the garage, to prevent the equipment running in the garage from harming the person. At that time, the model of this detector was PA-5312P.
PA-5312E is a quaternary passive infrared detector. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity and convenient area adjustment. After adjustment, it can meet the needs of different forms of automatic garages.
How to adjust PA-5312E. The steps are briefly described as follows:
PA-5312E is an 84-degree wide-angle three-dimensional protection. 12 meters away. If the garage is 12 meters square in plan view, it can be installed diagonally, and there is no dead angle detection without any obstruction.
PA-5312E can be installed on both the ceiling and the wall. But the debugging method is the same.
Take ceiling installation as an example.
1. Install the detector correctly.
First determine the installation height.
During installation, the direction arrow of the black fixed base and the direction arrow on the white terminal block should point in the same direction --- diagonal direction of the garage. Measure the diagonal distance of the garage.
2. Adjust the height and distance of the back of the probe to the dial according to the height and distance. The height of the ordinate of the dial, and the abscissa represents the distance. The letter at the intersection is the letter that should appear in the code wheel window.
Because the height given on the dial is not necessarily the same as the actual installation height, it is sufficient to select a similar gear when dialing, and the rest is left for fine adjustment.
For example, the actual installation height is 2.3 meters, which is between 2 meters and 2.6 meters on the code wheel. At this time, the vertical height of the dial can be 2.6 meters. If the measured diagonal distance of the garage is 7 meters, you should choose The letter G. Dial the code to make the letter G appear in the window.
3. Before pushing the probe onto the connection terminal, remove the probe shield. According to the explanation of the manual, set the dial switch m on the probe to the correct position.
The correct position here refers to engineering design requirements. For example, whether the alarm output mode is normally open or normally closed. Does the sensitivity need to be high or low? and many more.
Push the probe into the base. The probe also has a directional arrow, which is in the same direction as the arrow of the base when pushed up.
4. Viewing area adjustment, that is, the detection area of the probe is adjusted. The detection system of PA-5312E is a mirror optical system. When you stand in the detectable range, there is always a small mirror with your figure.
It should be noted that the thermal sensor on the probe is placed on a circuit board that can move along the axis. When the probe shield is opened, it is in the "normal working" position. Now, gently press the side of the circuit board Protruding small button, push the circuit board to the other side until it locks. Start to do the following work.
* Horizontal adjustment fixed corner (side line): The detector is energized. During normal operation, the detector will enter the self-test process after being energized. At this time, the red light will flash for about 30 seconds and enter the working state. During the debugging process, because the circuit board has been pushed to the other side, the red light does not blink at this time.
The debugger stands at the corner where the detector protection is needed and observes the reflector of the detector. At this time, the red LED light in the reflector should be clearly visible. If you do n’t see it, please adjust it horizontally. Loosen the screw on the base and turn the white terminal block until you can clearly see the red LED light.
Vertical adjustment of fixed range (fixed threshold): If the threshold is not fixed, if someone walks outside the garage door, the detector will also alarm, which is not allowed in some designs.
Because you need to observe with your eyes, it is inconvenient at the threshold. You can push forward along the door line and choose a suitable position from the mirror to the boundary of the range. Still looking at the red LED lights appearing in the mirror. If you do not see the red LED light clearly, gently turn the mirror unit up and down until the clear red LED appears.
After completing these two items, the commissioning of this probe is basically completed. Gently push the small button on the circuit board of the thermal sensor unit, the circuit board will spring back to the "normal working" position. At this time, the debugging personnel can move anywhere in the garage, check the test debugging results through the response of the control host or the alarm indication of the detector, and if not satisfied, repeat the above process.
For the adjusted PA-5312E, the result is: Once someone enters the automatic garage, the detector will alarm. Someone moves in the garage, even if standing in the corner, if there is motion, the detector will alarm.
It is worth reminding that the PA-5312E passive infrared detector is also called a motion detector. If someone enters the garage, the detector will alarm, but after the alarm, the person entering will stand still and the detector will not alarm. If the micro switch of PA-5312E is turned on, its sensitivity will increase. At this time, the person who is standing still, even if the arm shakes, or turns his head, the detector will alarm.
The above refers to an automatic garage installed diagonally with a long side not exceeding 12 meters.
