According to the China Trade Relief Information Network on the 8th, the KazusaDNA Institute in Japan has developed basic technologies for photovoltaic cells that do not affect the growth of crops even if they are installed on agricultural land. This technology uses blue-green light with short wavelengths in sunlight to generate electricity, while light with longer wavelengths required for growing crops can pass through. The institute plans to develop thin-film batteries that can be used in plastic greenhouses within three years to promote the development of photovoltaic power generation in rural areas.
