On March 24th, CNR undertook the national “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” key science and technology support plan project—100% low-floor vehicles completed the development of aluminum body at Changke Stock Co., Ltd., which is a long-distance passenger vehicle of the North China Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry Group. The domestic self-developed 100% low-floor light rail car, which is based on the aluminum body in the front row, has been independently developed by the company.

In 2006, CNR Changke Co., Ltd. developed a domestic high-grade 70% low-floor aluminum bodywork light rail vehicle and successfully put into operation in Changchun. On this basis, the company further innovated in technology and manufacturing processes, successfully broke through the key technologies for the development of low-floor vehicles, and completely independently developed a 100% low-floor aluminum body, adding another new dimension to the "Car Manufacturing" Park. Created conditions.

The research and development personnel of Changchun Railway Co., Ltd. have done a lot of innovative research on the body structure of 100% low-floor light railcars, including the study of the strength, stiffness and stability of the multi-module articulated body structure; the research on the load-carrying capacity of the roof structure; and the study of the natural vibration frequency of the car body structure. Research on the impact structure of the car body end; research on welding technology and body strength of high-strength aluminum profiles and car body structures; calculation of bounds; strength test of car bodies, etc. In order to meet the requirements for lightweighting, the design department repeatedly exchanged views with Dalian Jiaotong University and other institutions to continuously optimize the lightweight design scheme for aluminum vehicles, so that the total weight of the vehicle's final design was reduced by nearly two tons compared with the previous plan.

100% low-floor light rail car aluminum body encountered many difficulties in the manufacture, such as the body of the car body structure, more components, the structure is more complex, the size and quality of the welding process in the group is difficult to meet the requirements. The Changke Aluminum Vehicle Body Plant, which is responsible for the production of the vehicle body, adopts many new techniques and methods. It selects aluminum alloy welding technicians and production backbones to engage in production. Under the guidance of technical personnel, it successfully breaks through each difficult item point, which is 100%. The low-floor light rail vehicle project has laid a solid foundation for the smooth advancement of node requirements.
