Bayer polyurethane for road guidance

Bayer MaterialScience, in cooperation with Andaluz Acessibilidade of Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently developed a personal guidance system for the ground. The system is easy to install and has tactile feedback, which can provide ideal guidance for pedestrians and help blind and visually impaired people to reduce accidents.

The system consists of signs and tiles attached to the ground. Although the thickness is only a few millimeters, people can still feel the tactile feedback when walking on the ground. These tactile elements are made of thermoplastic polyurethane materials developed by Bayer MaterialScience.
