CimatronE five-axis machining technology (Figure)

With the continuous innovation and breakthrough of numerical control technology, five-axis machining has been adopted by more and more industries, such as aerospace, electric power, marine, high-precision instruments, mold manufacturing and so on. However, the automatic programming software plays a key role in the five-axis machining technology, because the process layout of the tool path, the interference check between the tool chuck and the workpiece or the fixture, and the identification of the residual amount of the blank are automatically considered by the software. Programmers can't do it through calculations. They just optimize the cutting parameters based on experience to get a more reasonable and effective machining path.

CimatronE software is one of the most intelligent and efficient software in today's five-axis machining technology, with specialized solutions for complex five-axis and five-axis machining. In mold processing:

1. Using the knowledge of blank residue and the blank preview function, it automatically recognizes the residual amount after each machining, optimizes the tool path, and is safe and efficient. It can quickly observe the machining result without calculating the tool path program, and facilitate the optimization of parameters repeatedly. After the request, the final one-time error-free calculation is performed, saving programming time (Fig. 1, Fig. 2).

2. Automatic shortest tool length calculation, can use the tool reasonably and save cost.

3. Based on the slope analysis technique, the slope of the surface is automatically analyzed, and the surface is calculated as a flat zone and a steep zone. Different ways of walking in different areas to achieve composite processing.

4. Automatically consider the interference of the tool chuck, and perform three-axis cutting in the area without interference (Fig. 3); when the tool length is insufficient and the interference occurs, the automatic swing angle realizes five-axis linkage processing (Fig. 4).

5. Realize the five-axis root clearing function, combined with the knowledge of blank residue, efficient and safe; use the secondary roughing option to homogenize the residual blank at the round corner to solve the problem of clearing the root cutter and the previous cutter due to the diameter Large, bringing too much residual material and causing troubles in breaking the knife (Figure 5).

6. Fully integrated with CAD, easy to modify the editing of curves and surfaces and entities, without the need for data conversion.
